Governance

The VCSD board is made up of a five-person, elected board. Elections occur with the general election, held in the even years. Persons wanting to serve on the board are encouraged to apply through the Amador County Elections Department, Jackson, CA, and run for office. The board members are volunteers and do not receive compensation. Regular board meetings occur bi-monthly, the first Thursday of the month, at 7 pm, at the Armory Hall in Volcano. The meeting months are February, April, June, August, October, and December. Interested parties are encouraged to attend the meetings.

Board Meetings

Our board of directors meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Armory Hall, 21349 Consolation St. in Volcano, or by Microsoft Teams, depending on COVID protocols The board may also schedule special meetings at other times when needed and will post notice according to the Brown Act.
